- Say you earn a commission next to every link. Never pay for or ask for reviews.
- No ads on "Shopify" or "RNS", no coupon sites, no spam, no own shops, no sub-affiliates.
- Either of us can end it any time. Money you fairly earned is still paid.
1 · Who we are
RN Solution makes the RNS apps for Shopify stores. These terms are between RN Solution and you (the partner). Contact: partners@rnsapps.com · 16 Havenridge Dr, Etobicoke, ON M9P 3M4, Canada.
2 · Joining
Apply on rnsapps.com/partners. We read every application and may say no without giving a reason. You must be 18 or older and give true details. One partner account per person or business.
You are an independent partner, not our employee, agent or reseller. You can't sign anything or make promises for us.
3 · What you earn
20% of each payment a shop you referred makes for an RNS app, for 12 months from that shop's first payment for that app. The first 20 approved partners (founding partners) earn 25% for as long as they stay partners.
A payment means the amount Shopify reports to us for that charge after Shopify's share and before tax. A yearly plan earns once, on the yearly payment.
Each commission waits 30 days, then becomes payable. We pay on or after the 1st of each month by PayPal once you have $50 or more payable. We pay PayPal's fee. Amounts are in US dollars.
4 · Which shops count
A shop counts when it enters your code in the app before its first payment for that app, and it is the shop's first install of that app. Your link shows your code and copies it for the shop. One code per shop per app; the code in place at the first payment wins.
These never count: shops you or your business own, run or are paid to run as staff; test and development stores; shops that had the app before; charges Shopify marks as test; Shopify credits.
5 · Refunds and fraud
If we refund or credit a shop, the matching commission is taken back, even after we paid it, by lowering your next payouts.
If we see fake installs, self-referrals or anything that breaks these terms, we may hold or cancel the commissions involved.
6 · How you promote
Say clearly, next to every link or code, that you earn a commission (for example: "I earn a commission if you sign up through this link"). This is required by law in many places, including the US (FTC) and Canada.
Never pay for, offer anything for, or ask for App Store reviews. Never run ads on the words "Shopify" or "RNS" or on our names, and add "Shopify" as a negative keyword in any search ads. No coupon, cashback, deal or incentive sites. No spam: email only people who agreed to hear from you, and follow anti-spam laws (CASL, CAN-SPAM).
Don't pretend to be RN Solution or Shopify, and don't say Shopify endorses you or us. Describe our apps truthfully; use the facts in our partner kit.
7 · One level only, no sub-affiliates
Partners earn only on shops they refer themselves. Your code is yours: you may not recruit others to promote under your code, and you may not pay others from your commissions to do so.
8 · Data
We keep your name, email, PayPal email, country, website and your commission records. Payment records are kept 6 years for tax; the rest is deleted within 30 days after your account closes. See our privacy policy.
You see a shortened address for each shop you referred, its app, plan and your earnings. Keep that private and don't use it to contact shops on our behalf.
9 · Tax
You are responsible for your own taxes. If the law requires us to report what we pay you, we'll ask for the details we need.
10 · Ending
You can close your partner account any time in the portal. We can pause or end it any time, with an email saying why. When a partnership ends, your link and code stop working and later payments stop earning.
Money you fairly earned before the end is paid at the next payout, even under $50, unless it came from breaking these terms.
11 · Responsibility
We answer to Shopify for how our partners promote our apps, so we may end a partnership that puts our apps at risk. Our total liability to you is limited to the commissions you earned in the 12 months before a claim.
12 · Changes and law
We will email you 30 days before any change to these terms. Staying a partner after that means you accept them. These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there.
